The online check-in is available on HiSky's website, www.hisky.aero, 72 hours prior to departure. You may access it by pressing the orange “Check-in” button on our website and introducing your last name and booking code (Axxxxx). Please note that the online check-in is mandatory for passengers who have purchased tickets under the Basic fare.
For flights from Tel Aviv, to/from New York and from London check in at the airport opens 4 hours before the flight and closes one hour before departure time.
Seat assignment
Passenger can reserve a specific seat on the aircraft along with the ticket, paying a fee as follows:
- Seats in the 1st row - 35 Euros;
- Seats in the 2nd row - 30 Euros;
- Seats in the 3rd and 4th rows – 25 Euros;
- Seats in emergency exit rows (12–13) - 35 Euros
- Seats in the rows 5-7 - 20 Euros;
- Seats in any of the rows not mentioned above cost 15 Euros.
For flights to/from New York and Chicago, the passenger has the possibility to select the preferred seat for a fee, as follows:
- Seats in the 5 and 23 rows - 80 EUR
- Seats in the 6,7,8 rows - 50 EUR
- Seats in the 9- 22 rows - 40 EUR
- Seats in the 24-36 rows - 30 EUR

HiSky Company accepts for transportation animals (dogs and cats) only in the aircraft cabin.
Animals (dogs and cats) are transported to all HiSky destinations, except the United Kingdom.
The total weight of the animal and the container must not exceed 8 kg. The dimensions of the container are 50X40X25 cm. During the flight the container is placed under your seat.
In order to travel with a pet in an EU Member State, live animals must meet the following conditions:
- have a minimum age of 7 months;
- have a microchip implanted under the skin;
- have a health card;
- the rabies vaccine is valid, in accordance with the legislation: http://ec.europa.eu/food/animals/pet-movement/eu-legislation/non-commercial-eu_en
- have an animal passport issued by the veterinarian.
The service fee for transporting pets for a flight segment is determined based on the destination:
- Domestic flights within Romania, including the Bucharest–Chișinău–Bucharest flight: 50 EUR
- Flights to and from TLV (Tel Aviv) and DUB (Dublin): 100 EUR
- Flights to and from New York (JFK) and Chicago (ORD): 100 EUR
- Flights to other destinations operated by HiSky: 70 EUR
In order to book this service, please contact Customer Service at least 48 hours before the flight. The number of animals admitted to the flight is limited.
Traveling with pets to Israel / TLV airport:
- According to the rules of the Israel Ministry of Agriculture , the entry of pets into Israel (dogs and cats, including guide dogs) is conditioned to receive an “Authorization to fly with pet” issued by the Department of Veterinary Services of the the Ministry of Agriculture at least with 2 days prior to travel. The carriage of animal with the passenger as baggage is possible only if the animal has been in passenger’s possession at least 90 days prior to being brought to Israel. If the animal has not been in passenger’s possession during the last 90 days or the passenger cannot confirm it, in addition to the Flight Permit, it will be necessary to obtain the Import License from the Ministry of Agriculture and this animal can be transported only as cargo, in accordance with the Israel import regulations.
- Important: It is the passenger's responsibility to obtain all necessary permits and present them at check-in. If the passenger does not present the “Authorization to fly with pet” from the Israel veterinary authorities, the company will not accept the animal for carriage and Hi Sky will not bear any responsibility. This authorization will contain information on the departure date and flight number and it is valid for one time entry.

- In order to receive the Permit to fly, the owner must send a notification containing the name of the owner, animal breed, flight number (Annex B from attached above “Information Sheet”) and copies of the veterinary health certificates of the animal to the Veterinary Services of Ben Gurion Airport /Tel Aviv by mail: [email protected], at least 2 working days before the departure. - Animal shall be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate issued not more that 10 days prior to departure, signed by a government veterinarian of the country of origin. The health certificate shall follow the certificate model from Annex A, of the “Information Sheet”, attached above. The certificate shall be also accompanied by the declaration of the owner that the animal was in their possession during the last 90 days before the journey (annex C from attached above “Information Sheet”).
- Animal health conditions applicable to the non-commercial movement of animals to Israel:
- 1. Animal shall be older than 7 months upon arrival to Israel
- 2. Animal must be healthy, without signs of contagious diseases and the veterinarian shall confirm it in the health certificate.
- 3. Animal must be identified with an electronic chip that transmits on a frequency of 134.2 KH (kilohertz), complying with ISO standard 11784 or be readable by a reading device compliant with ISO standard 11785.
- 4. Animal must be vaccinated against rabies no more than 1 year and no less 30 days prior to arrival in Israel.
- 5. Animal must have undergone blood test not less 30 days after vaccination in an OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) approved laboratory, which states that the neutralizing antibody titer is equal to or greater than 0,5 IU//ml
- Certain dog/cat breeds are declared dangerous or even forbidden for import, therefore it is recommended that a passenger shall consult the legislation with regard to the list of forbidden animal breeds before travelling with a pet to Israel.

Children and infants
HiSky offers the following facilities to people flying with small children:
For infants up to 2 years, additionally will be allowed:
- Hold luggage up to 10kg (115 cm);
- Folding pushchair ( it can be carried to the entrance or steps of the aircraft, where they will be picked up to be transported in the hold of the aircraft)
- Infant's food for consumption on board;
***HiSky allows the carriage of the stroller for children up to 4 years old
Expectant mothers
Expectant mothers can be accepted on board with presentation of the following documents:
- After the 28th week of pregnancy (until the end of the 32nd week of pregnancy) – is mandatory to present the medical certificate stamped and signed by the doctor, which states clearly fitness for travel. This certificate, issued not earlier than 48 hours before flight, shall be presented at the check-in.
- Starting with the end of the 32nd week till the end of the 35th week of pregnancy and in cases of complicated pregnancy – is mandatory to present the medical certificate stamped and signed by the doctor, which states clearly fitness for travel.
Can be accepted on board expectant mothers only before the end of the 35th week of pregnancy in cases of uncomplicated pregnancy and by complying with the above rules and expectant mothers only before the 32nd week of pregnancy in cases of multiple (twins) uncomplicated pregnancies by complying with the above rules.
SPECIAL BAGGAGE
The baggage that cannot be classified as a standard baggage due to its particular characteristics (type, dimensions, weight etc.) refers to special baggage. Due to limited space on the aircraft, the passenger needs to get prior approval from the airline for the transportation of the special baggage item, before the ticket issuance.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
Instruments may be transported either as checked baggage or carried with the passenger in the cabin, subject to company rules.
General rules of carriage for checked baggage will be applied if instruments are carried as checked baggage in the hold. If in excess to the passenger’s baggage allowance from the ticket either in number or weight or in dimensions, airline standard excess baggage charges will be applied. Instruments should be properly packed and secured in hard cases to prevent damage.
Small instruments, not exceeding the free cabin baggage allowance in dimensions and weight, 50x40x25 сm / up to 8 kg (e.g. violin, small trumpet) may be carried in the cabin instead of the passenger’s hand baggage. It will count as passenger’s hand baggage.
Instruments exceeding cabin baggage allowance in dimensions and weight may also be carried in cabin provided an additional seat is purchased for the item.
An instrument will be accepted for carriage in a passenger seat (CBBG on seat) on the following conditions:
- the passenger has requested this service in advance and the airline confirmed it
- the passengers pays for an additional seat ticket
Note: web check-in is restricted for passengers with extra seat for instrument ( EXTRA SEAT ).
SPORT EQUIPMENT
The transportation of any sport equipment has to be agreed with the airline in advance, before the ticket issuance and at least 72 h prior the departure. The passenger has to declare the sport equipment at the time of ticket reservation, stating the type of equipment, its weight and dimensions.
Exception: When determining excess baggage charge, standard dimension limit of 158 cm (sum of three dimensions L x H x W) will be disregarded only for bikes, fishing rods and ski / snowboard / golf equipment.
Package and transportation conditions:
- Ski and snowboard equipment: Ski or snowboard equipment (skis, board, poles, boots) should be suitably packed, preferable in a rigid package or a protective bag, to prevent any damage to the equipment itself or to other baggage on board. The tips of the ski poles should be covered or wrapped with foam pipe to prevent the poles from tearing the ski bag.
- Golf equipment: Golf clubs, balls and shoes should be well packed and fastened inside their bag to avoid disturbances or damage during loading, transportation and offloading.
- Regular bicycles may be accepted for carriage. Electric bikes will not be accepted for transportation, even if the battery is disconnected or removed. The bike must be packed in a hard protective case/box which is meant for transportation of bicycles. Handlers of the bike shall be fixed sideways, tires shall be deflated, pedals removed, and all other sharp objects shall be protected with plastic or card board to prevent damage to other baggage. The dimensions of the package should not exceed 155х35х95сm.
- Fishing equipment: It should be packed appropriately in a protective bag or a case to prevent any damage to the equipment itself or to other baggage on board
- Surfing equipment: It must be packed appropriately in a bag or a case to prevent damage to the equipment itself or to other baggage on board. Size limitations may be applied.
Due to size limitation on some of our aircrafts, very large sport equipment ( e.g. large kite-surf, wind/ surf boards, canoes, etc.) exceeding dimensions 240cm x 60cm x 40cm (L x W x W) cannot be accepted on Hisky flights. Maximum weight per 1 item accepted as checked baggage is up to 32kg.
Funeral urns
Funeral urns may be carried as checked baggage or cabin baggage.
The passenger is responsible for all permits and documentation which the authorities of the departure, transit, arrival countries may require.
If carried as checked baggage, make sure it is sealed and safely packed.
If carried in cabin, make sure:
- it shall not exceed hand baggage dimensions
- it is properly packed and sealed
- the package is neutral
- It may be stowed in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front
Funeral urns are not considered as dangerous goods.
Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Baggage
We would like to inform you that the causes related to luggage damage are under investigation by the Complaints Department. To facilitate a thorough investigation, please submit the following information to the email address [email protected]:
1. Compensation Request:
- A dated and signed compensation request from the passenger to be compensated. The request should include:
- Flight number
- Flight date
- Passenger's email address and phone number
- Confirmation of whether the passenger has the purchase invoice for the luggage, including the cost and age of the luggage
2. Property Irregularity Report (PIR):
- The completed PIR form obtained from the Lost & Found office at the airport.

Passengers with reduced mobility
To ensure a comfortable flight of the persons with disabilities should be taken into account a number of factors such as the health of the person, the requested equipment, involved air carriers, maximum limits per types of aircraft. In this respect, any special service for people with disabilities must be requested 48 hours before the flight to allow the air carrier to arrange and finish the arrangements. Usually, these requests are declared to the agent at the time of booking the ticket when introducing the necessary information in the passenger's reservation.
For people who suffer from certain diseases and are considered medical cases, HiSky shall request the medical information about the health condition of the passenger.
In order to be accepted on the flight, the passenger must present a medical certificate which confirms the ability to board a plane without any risks.
Please let us know the extent to which your mobility is reduced. The certificate must be issued no earlier than 48 hours before the flight.
There are three internationally recognized wheelchair categories to help you classify your degree of disability:
- WCHR – Wheelchair Ramp: The passenger requests the wheelchair only to cover longer distances; is able to climb stairs independently.
- WCHS – Wheelchair Steps: The passenger is not able to climb the stairs but can cover short distances on foot.
- WCHC – Wheelchair Cabin seat: The passenger requests the wheelchair all the time, is not able to move around the cabin without being helped by another person – it is needed the wheelchair all the time.
If you are traveling with your own wheelchair, please notify us of its size and weight and any special features (e.g. folding/non-folding, sport/electric wheelchair, etc.).
The battery-driven wheelchairs are accepted for transportation only if respected special conditions. Non spill-able batteries (gel and dry batteries) can remain in the wheelchair, must be secured and disconnected and the poles must be isolated before boarding the aircraft. It is not allowed transportation of wheelchairs with wet or lithium batteries.
Transportation the equipment (1) for persons with reduced mobility (wheelchair, crutches, other mobility aids) is free of charge on HiSky flights. These are transported only in the hold.
Unaccompanied Minors
Travel Conditions for Unaccompanied Minors (UMNR)
The UMNR procedure is a special service offered by the airline, which involves assistance and supervision by airline staff for minors aged 5 years and above traveling without parents.
For the safety of your child and to ensure a smooth airport experience, the following conditions must be met:
- Inform us at the time of booking if the minor will travel alone.
- Ensure that the service and payment of the fee have been confirmed.
- At the airport, ensure that the “Unaccompanied Minor – Transportation Request – Escort Notice” form is completed correctly and legibly.
Departure from Romania
Romanian citizens under 18 years old at the start of the journey leaving Romania are considered unaccompanied minors - UMNR SERVICE IS MANDATORY.
To provide the UMNR service, both parents must sign a notarized declaration authorizing the transport of the unaccompanied minor.
Arrival in Romania
For flights to Romania, Romanian citizens are considered unaccompanied minors if they are under 12 years old at the start of the journey - UMNR SERVICE IS MANDATORY.
From ages 12 to 18, the unaccompanied minor service is provided (subject to availability) only upon explicit request of the parent or legal guardian.
Domestic Routes
For flights within Romania, Romanian citizens are considered unaccompanied minors if they are under 12 years old at the time of travel - UMNR SERVICE IS MANDATORY.
From ages 12 to 18, the service is provided (subject to availability) only upon explicit request of the parent or legal guardian.
To comply with these requirements and to complete all formalities for transporting unaccompanied minors, parents or legal guardians must contact the airline at least 72 hours before the flight.
Citizens of the Republic of Moldova, Unaccompanied Minors

A minor citizen of the Republic of Moldova traveling alone on HiSky flights requires a notarized declaration from a parent or legal representative, designating the airline’s flight crew as escorts.
It is recommended that the notarized declaration be prepared as close as possible to the flight date (not earlier than two weeks before the flight) due to possible crew changes.
Arrival in the Republic of Moldova
For flights to Moldova, Moldovan citizens are considered unaccompanied minors if they are under 12 years old at the start of the journey - UMNR SERVICE IS MANDATORY.
From ages 12 to 18, the service is provided (subject to availability) only upon explicit request of the parent or legal guardian.

- Children aged 12–18 years - the service is provided (subject to availability) only upon explicit request of the parent or legal guardian.

GENERAL INFORMATION
BEHAVIOUR ON BOARD OF THE AIRCRAFT
If, in Carrier's reasonable opinion, the passenger behaves himself aboard the aircraft so as to endanger the aircraft, or any person or property on board, or obstructs the crew in the performance of their duties, or fails to comply with the instructions of the crew, including, but not limited to those with respect to smoking, alcohol or drug consumption, or behaves in a manner which causes discomfort, inconvenience, damage or injury to other passengers or the crew, Carrier may take such measures as it deems reasonably necessary to prevent continuation of such behavior, including restraint. The passenger may be disembarked and refused onward carriage at any point and may be prosecuted for offences committed on board the aircraft.
If, because of passenger’s behavior, the air carrier is forced to divert the aircraft to a destination that had not been previously established and compel the passenger to leave the aircraft, he/she shall pay to the carrier all the costs resulting further to such fortuitous landing and the potential penalties imposed on HiSky and/or HiSky Europe company by the authorities of the country where it landed.For safety reasons, Carrier may forbid or limit operation aboard the aircraft of electronic equipment, including but not limited to cellular telephones, laptop computers, portable recorders, CD players, portable radios, electronic games or transmitting devices, radio-controlled toys and walkie- talkies.
Hearing aids and heart pacemakers are permitted.
APPLICABILITY OF GENERAL CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE
General conditions
These General Conditions of Carriage are the conditions of carriage of HiSky and/or HiSky Europe
Air Company and apply to the carriage of all passengers and their baggage only on those flights, or flight segments, where HiSky and/or HiSky Europe is designated as carrier.
The Terms and Conditions of Carriage specified on the Electronic Ticket, Flight Coupons, Baggage Identification Tags or any other travel document accepted by HiSky and/or HiSky Europe shall be a part of these Terms and Conditions of Carriage.
These Conditions of Carriage also apply to reduced fare carriage, except to the extent that carrier has provided otherwise in the relevant contracts or tickets.
Charter flights
If carriage is performed pursuant to a charter agreement, these Conditions of Carriage apply only to the extent they are incorporated by reference or otherwise in the charter agreement.
Effectiveness
All carriage shall be subject to Carrier's General Conditions of Carriage and Carrier's tariff regulations in effect on the date of issue of the ticket or, if such date cannot be ascertained, on the date of commencement of carriage covered by the first flight coupon of the ticket.
Overriding law
These Conditions of Carriage are applicable unless they are inconsistent with Carrier's Tariffs or applicable law, in which event such Tariffs or laws shall prevail. If any provision of these Conditions of Carriage is invalid under any applicable law, the other provisions shall nevertheless remain valid.
Right of prevalence
Except as provided in these Conditions of Carriage, in the event of inconsistency between these Conditions of Carriage and any other Carrier's regulations, dealing with subjects, these Conditions of Carriage shall prevail.
Change of conditions
HiSky and/or HiSky Europe reserves its right to change the terms and conditions of carriage, with the preliminary notification of these changes by publishing them on the website.
TICKETS
General rules
The ticket constitutes the evidence of the contract of carriage between Carrier and the passenger. HiSky and/or HiSky Europe shall transport only the passenger whose name is specified on the electronic ticket. The passenger must hold an identity document according to the destination.
A ticket is not transferable. If a ticket is presented by someone other than the person entitled to be carried, the carrier shall not be liable to the person so entitled if in good faith it provides carriage or makes a refund to the person presenting the ticket.
The ticket will be issued only upon full payment of the applicable fare. Some tickets are sold at discounted/reduced fares, which may be partially or completely non-refundable. The passenger should choose the fare best suited to his / her needs.
A person shall not be entitled to be carried on a flight unless he presents a ticket valid and duly issued in accordance with Carrier's practices, and which contains the flight coupon valid for that flight.
Passenger is solely responsible to check that he/she has received the payment confirmation and itinerary on the e-mail address provided, otherwise the airline must be contacted via e-mail [email protected]. HiSky and/or HiSky Europe takes no responsibility if the passenger shows
up for a flight for which he/she has not received a confirmation and, consequently, he/she is denied boarding.
Ticket’s validity
Partially used tickets:
A ticket is valid for one year from the first travel occurring within one year from the date of issue.
Unused tickets:
A ticket is valid for one year from the date of issue.
A ticket issued at a special fare is valid for carriage only for the period and subject to the conditions as notified by Carrier in its tariff regulations.
Sequential use of flight coupons
Carrier will honor flight coupons only in sequence from the place of departure, as shown on the ticket. The ticket will not be honored and will lose its validity if all the coupons will not be used in the sequence provided in the ticket.
In particular, the ticket does not entitle the passenger to start his journey at any of the specified stopover points if the first coupon for an international flight has not in fact been used for transportation.
The passenger wishing to change any aspect of his itinerary shall contact Carrier in advance. In case of request to ignore the sequential use of flight coupons, unused flight segments remain non- refundable.
Should the passenger be required to change any aspects of his itinerary due to Force Major, he shall contact Carrier as soon as practicable and Carrier will use reasonable efforts to transport the passenger to his next stopover or place of destination, without recalculation of the fare. Carrier will only do so if the passenger has given evidence to Carrier for passenger's force major.
Each flight coupon will be accepted for carriage in the class of service specified therein on the date and flight for which space has been reserved.
Carrier’s name
Carrier's name may be abbreviated in the ticket.
