A new destination from Bucharest Airport HiSky launghes Bucharest – Paris route

24.07.2024

Starting this fall, HiSky is expanding its portfolio of regular flights from Henri Coandă International Airport with a new European route. Paris, the capital of France, will become the 13th destination on the continent accessible from Bucharest, with three weekly flights. The inaugural flight is scheduled for October 14, and after the launch, the new route will be available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tickets are already on sale, with a promotional price of €59 per flight segment.

Paris is one of the most popular travel options departing directly from Bucharest. However, a major advantage HiSky offers passengers is operation at the main airport, closer to the city center. HiSky aircraft will land at Charles de Gaulle (CDG), the largest airport in France and one of the main European hubs for connecting flights.

"HiSky was launched as a full-service airline, and we are committed to maintaining that status. Although we aim to keep our prices affordable, and passengers might compare us to low-cost operators in this regard, our services align with the highest industry standards. Our mission is to build business relationships based on transparency, and perhaps most importantly, we always choose to operate at main airports. Thus, after starting operations at one of the world's most important airports, New York – JFK, for the Paris destination, we could only opt for Charles de Gaulle. This is just one of the advantages we are determined to offer to those who choose to fly with us," stated Iulian Scorpan, CEO of HiSky.

A direct flight from Bucharest to Paris will take only three hours, operated by one of the Airbus A320 family aircraft in the company's fleet. Furthermore, thanks to HiSky’s connection flight options, the new destination is also accessible to passengers from Cluj Napoca, Timișoara, Oradea, and Chișinău with a single booking and a short layover in Bucharest.

Since 2023, HiSky has maintained its position as the second-largest scheduled airline and the fourth most important operator at Romanian airports by the number of passengers transported. Bucharest is HiSky’s main operational base, but the company also operates regular flights from airports in Cluj Napoca, Timișoara, Oradea, Iași, Baia Mare, and Chișinău, as well as charter flights in partnership with major travel agencies. From Bucharest, passengers can fly with HiSky to New York, Dublin, Malaga, Barcelona, Brussels, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt, Bordeaux, Paris, Cluj Napoca, Timișoara, Oradea, and Chișinău.
